Ahoy little matey! Ready to beat up some sailors?

Barbanegra is a well known pirate in the 7 seas for his great amount of adventures and the treasures he has been getting in each one of them. Every self-respecting pirate wants to be like him, even to a point that one day, when he woke up, he discovered that his crew was trying to sabotage him and take away all his treasures. Barbanegra can’t allow this! Help him get rid of all those traitors and turn the sea in blood, ARR!

Redsea is a singleplayer shoot 'em up retro game that was developed by three students at the University of Alicante in 2018 for the well known AmstradCPC game creation contest: CPCRetroDev.

The game was developed in less than 3 months and it's entirely programmed in assembly Z80 language using the CPCTelera game engine. Redsea ended up in 12th position out of 41 participants in the contest.

  HOW TO PLAY

Use the numbers shown in the menu to navigate between screens.

To play:

• O: Move the player/gun to the left.
• P: Move the player/gun to the right.
• Q: Move the player/gun up.
• A: Move the player/gun down.

If the SPACE key is pressed, the gun will start shooting.

  GESTURE

As CPCRetroDev 2018 was celebrating  Chicago's 30's 30th anniversary, we included a little easter egg in the game. One of the enemies is Elliot, the main character of the game. He will will show up sometimes trough a window and will shoot at you really fast.
